BLUE LAGOON ! Just off its main pier, Summer created history in August 2018 when it erected the biggest 3D printed coral reef in the world. The project was designed to explore if the model might be used for large-scale rehabilitation of reefs harmed by rising sea temperatures. It is also included in the Guinness Book of World Records as the biggest 3D printed reef ever. The 3D printed reef structure was filled with young corals that were transferred from the Blue Lagoon nursery. In less than five years, the reef has its own marine inhabitants, including a massive morayeel, and is exhibiting indications of robust life!
